- 1 lb (450 g) potatoes, peeled and boiled
- 1 egg
- 1 ½ cups (180 g) all-purpose flour (more if needed)
- Salt, to taste
- 2 tbsp butter (for the dough)
For the breadcrumb coating:
- 1 cup plain breadcrumbs
- 3–4 tbsp butter
- 2–3 tbsp sugar (adjust to taste)
- Optional: cinnamon or ground walnuts
