Ingredients:
- 2 lbs (900 g) starchy potatoes
- 1 large egg
- 1 ½ – 2 cups (200–250 g) all-purpose flour (as needed)
- Pinch of salt
- 2 tbsp butter
For coating (choose one):
- 1 cup (100 g) breadcrumbs + 3 tbsp butter (classic)
- OR ½ cup ground poppy seeds + ½ cup powdered sugar (very traditional)
