
Instructions:
- Salt the cucumbers:
Place thin cucumber slices in a bowl and sprinkle with salt. Mix and let sit for 15–30 minutes to draw out water. - Drain and squeeze:
After resting, squeeze out excess moisture from cucumbers by hand or using a clean towel. Discard the liquid. - Prepare the marinade:
In a small bowl, mix vinegar, sugar, water, minced garlic, and a pinch of pepper. Stir until sugar dissolves. - Combine:
Pour the marinade over the cucumbers. Toss well to coat. Chill for at least 30 minutes (best if chilled 1–2 hours). - Serve:
Just before serving, sprinkle with sweet paprika and a touch of freshly ground black pepper.
